Live Lightly

I like taking photos of green spaces and places and sharing them.

Perhaps I’ll post photos of my home-grown tomatoes, or a visit to a friend’s house that clings to the mountain slopes above Fish Hoek.

Live Lightly posts are about my personal journey on the path to eco-conscious living.

Here are links to some of my Live Lightly posts.

You can expect a lot of photos of mosaics, pallet gardens, vegetables, fynbos, waves and forests. I’ll be posting about my green journey where I aim to consume less, create less waste and, ultimately, spend less.

The green zone in our immediate area includes Soil for Life, Hemporium SA, Rawlicious, Organic Zone and Chardonnay Deli. And of course Table Mountain is in my backyard.

Living in Bergvliet we also visit the ‘deep South’ a lot – Scarborough, Noordhoek, Fish Hoek, Simon’s Town and Cape Point. Closer to town there’s OZCF in the City Bowl, the Aquarium, Green Point Park and Kirstenbosch.

Live Lightly is all about digital detox time, slowing down, eating and shopping local,  zero waste, the beach, the sea and the sky. And remembering to breathe.

Slow life.
